Project planning and financing with a technology-specific focus

Certified Renewable Energy Project Developer - online training

In this online training, participants learn about the most critical parameters to develop bankable projects. Furthermore, this course combination transfers knowledge on different types of support mechanisms for renewable energy and their respective methodology. Each participant can then focus on a specific technology with one eligible project planning course: Photovoltaic, PV-diesel hybrid systems, biogas or solar thermal for hot water production.

Economic aspects of renewable energy projects

b) Planning of PV-diesel hybrid power stations ("Fuelsaver")

  • Characteristics and dynamic behaviour of diesel gensets
  • Technical concerns and system optimization
  • Detailed financial analysis
  • Commissioning procedure, O & M, data monitoring

c) Planning of medium-sized biogas plants

  • Plant concept and design, process control
  • Feasibility studies, sustainability aspects
  • Quality assurance, procedural safety
  • Cash flow analysis
  • Commissioning, operation and maintenance

d) Planning of large-scale solar thermal projects for water heating

  • Components (collectors, storage cylinders, heat exchangers, etc.)
  • Different system types, pressures in the system
  • Calculation of heat quantity, energy demand, storage capacity, etc.
  • Commissioning and frequent faults
  • Economic aspects
