Course WT2-01C: Hybrid Wind/PV/Systems and Micro Grids Fundamentals - compact
We will be doing most of the wind courses "on demand", which means that we will hold them only if we get enough interested participants. If you are interested in one of our wind courses please write us an email telling us which course and indicate a time period that is suitable for you. Once we have enough interested persons (we usually need about 10) we will then contact you and try to schedule the course.

Content
Duration of the course: 3 days
go to topPurpose
The course covers hybrid wind/PV/systems and micro grids, focusing on the technologies, system design, case studies, market development, regional trends and economics. Lectures are supplemented by demonstrations and practical exercises in RENAC’s Training Center in Berlin.
- At the end of the three-day course you should have a fundamental understanding of wind power, PV, power storage using batteries and inverters in hybrid systems.
- You should know about typical applications in the context of rural electrification and off-grid power supplies.
- You should be able to carry out the essential steps for the planning of hybrid systems.
- You will be able to do initial designs of hybrid system using easily comprehensible software, to simulate the power generation costs of different technical variants and have an overview of different software programs.
Target group
- The compact course is aimed at participants with limited technical knowledge.
- Non-technicians, advisors and consultants, bank employees responsible for the finance of renewable energy, insurance company employees, those starting their career, students.
Requirements
Interest in the technical and economic foundations of power systems for off-grid situations.
