MBA Renewables

MBA Renewables is hosting its first Alumni Conference

One of MBA Renewables' main objectives is to develop an international network of well-prepared professionals with the common goal of leveraging green energy technologies worldwide. The first Alumni Conference represents another step towards accomplishing this goal:

From the 21st to the 25th of June, MBA Renewables graduates from around the world will meet in Berlin (Germany). Jointly with the Beuth University of Applied Sciences, RENAC has put together an exciting programme, which includes field trips, seminars and practical exercises. The event will present perspectives and challenges of the ongoing Energiewende as well as facilitating valuable exchange amongst the many talented people who have participated in the MBA Renewables programme.

"MBA Renewables has definitely helped advance my career in the renewables industry. It has provided me with the knowledge and skills required to have a meaningful and significant impact in my community and on the environment"
Austin Tokarek, Sr. Environmental Analyst, Canada, 2015

The conference is supported by German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD - with funds from the German Federal Foreign Office. Further information on MBA Renewables can be found here. This year's programme starts on 1st October 2017. The application deadline is 1st September 2017.

COBEBEFITS - Mobilizing the Co-Benefits of Climate Change Mitigation through Capacity Building among Public Policy Institutions in India, South Africa, Turkey and Vietnam

India, South Africa, Vietnam and Turkey are all experiencing large increases in energy demand and consequently need to invest in new power generation capacities. RENAC and its project partners, the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), the Independent Institute for Environmental Issues (UfU) and International Energy Transition (IET), have been commissioned by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) to implement the COBENEFITS project. In collaboration with national partners, this project elaborates country specific co-benefits of climate policies - such as local value creation, employment, health, water use, energy access and energy security - with an emphasis on renewable power generation. Through capacity building among policy makers, think tanks and multipliers, COBENEFITS will link these potentials to the climate change mitigation strategies in these countries.
