Jens Altevogt

Since March 2009 Jens Altevogt is with the Renewables Academy (RENAC) where he is developing the Masters Program Global Production Engineering for Solar Technology in cooperation with the Technical University of Berlin and advanced training programs mainly in the field of solar energy.

Jens Altevogt studied Economics and General Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences—Jena until 2003. From 2003 he worked with the Institute for Energy and Environment in Leipzig, dealing with the economically optimized repowering of wind parks and advising power utilities on the topic of emissions trading.

In 2004 he supported enerplan, the French solar industry association, in developing and implementing solar campaigns for policymakers and the public.

In 2005 he joined the Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) - German Energy Agency where he was responsible for market and policy issues in the field of solar energy, coordinating the European PV Policy Group project and managing solar demonstration projects abroad, among other things.
