E-mobility: Implications for the Distribution Grid

E-Mobility – Implications for the Distribution Grid is a focused EV training for professionals who want to understand the technical, operational, and regulatory impacts of electric mobility on local energy systems.

The e-mobility course covers the fundamentals of charging infrastructure, including types of chargers, charging curves, and planning considerations for private, public, and commercial locations. You’ll also learn how urban and rural areas differ in their energy demands and charging needs, and how to plan infrastructure accordingly.

A key focus is on the challenges of grid integration — including increased load, variable charging patterns, and system stress — along with strategies like peak load shaving, flexible charging, and vehicle-to-grid technology to turn EVs into grid assets.

Participants will also explore practical guidance for distribution grid operators, from internal process changes to incentive structures.
