Fachkräftemangel in der Energiewende | Berthold Breid, RENAC | The smarter E Podcast #142

Der Fachkräftemangel könnte die Energiewende in Deutschland ausbremsen. Für den Ausbau der Solar- und Windenergie fehlen aktuell rund 216.000 Fachkräfte – dies hat laut der Funke Mediengruppe eine Studie des Kompetenzzentrums Fachkräftesicherung (Kofa) am Institut für deutsche Wirtschaft ergeben. Demnach mangele es vor allem an Elektrikern, Klimatechnikerinnen und Informatikern.

RENAC's in-person courses expanded to include hydrogen and wind turbine technology 

Starting on 21 August, RENAC will once again open its Berlin training centre for the popular Green Energy Summer School (GESS). Over the course of three weeks, participants can attend the English-language courses Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies, Management and Economics of Photovoltaic (PV) Projects, and Wind Turbine Technology.

Maher Soyah completed RENAC the Alumni Network Gruene Buergerenergie’s Alumni Netzwerk und Support für afrikanische Professionals (ANSAP) programme. For Maher, the most impactful parts of the ANSAP programme were the pitch sessions, the focus on financial analysis, and the mentorship component.

STARTING 1 FEBRUARY: NEW ONLINE RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY COURSES FROM RENEWABLES ACADEMY (RENAC)

The Berlin-based training and education provider Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG continues to develop its course catalogue adding three new online courses to its 1 February 2023 intake. RENAC designed courses on artificial intelligence (AI) in the renewable energy sector, solar heat in industrial processes (SHIP), and e-mobility to train professionals on technologies and measures that will contribute to sustainable zero-carbon solutions.

RENAC’s Popular Green Energy Summer School Starts Again In-person in August

This August, RENAC will welcome participants back to the RENAC Training Centre in Berlin, Germany for the popular Green Energy Summer School (GESS). It will run from 22 August to 2 September 2022. There are two courses in this programme: Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies and Management and Economics of Photovoltaic (PV) Projects.

RENAC Introduces New Online Training Programme: Green Hydrogen and Renewable Power-to-X (PtX) Professional

In spring 2022, the Renewables Academy (RENAC) launches the new six-month online training programme, Green Hydrogen and Renewable Power-to-X (PtX) Professional. It includes 10 courses that cover the most important technical and economic aspects of green hydrogen and PtX. A unique calculation tool for green hydrogen generation cost is also part of this new training programme.

Climate change and the energy revolution are altering economic and social conditions, creating new job profiles and requirements. There is demand for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate finance specialists. This need will be met by a new part-time, online degree, the Master Business Management – Green Energy and Climate Finance from the Berlin Professional School (BPS) at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin).

Berlin Renewables Academy expands its e-learning offering to over 100 online courses

The Renewables Academy (RENAC) is responding to the growing demand for online offerings in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency by adding 14 new courses to its course programme. The international education provider from Berlin will thus offer 107 e-learning courses in the future. The new courses include current trend topics such as energy storage, grid integration and Power-to-X technologies. The wide range of courses offered by RENAC, from beginner courses to special topics, will therefore be further expanded. RENAC considers itself well prepared for the current increase in demand and the challenges of the international education market in terms of content and digital technologies.

Financing climate protection

The Renewables Academy AG (RENAC) in Berlin will be offering the "Green Energy Finance Specialist (GEFS)" training programme for the first time in Europe from October 1 2019. Launched 2017 as part of the ‘Green Banking’ project in Southeast Asia, it was awarded the German Innovation Prize for Climate and Environment (IKU). The internationally-certified training provides valuable practical knowledge on making renewable energy and energy efficiency projects profitable and minimizing risks.

GGF GREEN ACADEMY AND RENAC PILOT ONLINE TRAINING IN GREEN FINANCE

The Technical Assistance Facility of the Green for Growth Fund, an impact investment fund advised by Finance in Motion, has partnered with Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), to pilot the GGF Green Finance Expert online training in green finance. This innovative training aims to enhance the technical expertise of bankers – representatives of GGF partner institutions, directly involved in on-lending of financing provided by the GGF to identify investments that have a positive environmental impact.

Perfil: Estudiantes de la Especialización en Energías Renovables ponen en práctica sus conocimientos

La cuarta edición de la Semana Presencial del programa académico de un año presentó un panorama claro de los distintos perfiles de los estudiantes.

La Universidad EARTH de Costa Rica en colaboración con la empresa alemana Renewables Academy AG (RENAC) organiza anualmente la semana presencial en su campus como parte del programa académico anual a distancia Especialización en Energías Renovables. En este módulo, los estudiantes del segundo cuatrimestre, pueden poner en práctica sus conocimientos sobre las diferentes técnologías en energías renovables fotovoltáicas, hidroeléctricas, eólicas y de biogas adquiridos durante la primera fase de estudio en el Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo en Energías Renovables (CIDER).

The fourth face-to-face week of the one-year academic programme drew a vivid picture of the diverse characters of the students.

The EARTH University of Costa Rica in collaboration with the German company Renewables Academy AG (RENAC) annually organises a face-to-face week on campus as part of the distance learning academic programme Especialización en Energías Renovables. In this module, second-cuatrimestre students can put into practice their knowledge of the various renewable energy technologies PV, hydro, wind and biogas acquired in the first study phase in the universities’ Center for Research and Development in Renewable Energies (CIDER).

Capacity building to unlock private finance for green energies: RENAC's Green Banking programme now launched for the MENA region

New Green Banking MENA programme prepares to enhance investment opportunities in the renewable energy and energy efficiency markets in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia

The Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), an international training provider for green energy technologies, announces the start of the scholarship application phase for one of the trainings under its 18-month programme “Green Banking MENA - Capacity Building on Green Energy and Climate Finance”. The programme comprises a total of three training courses, a Train-the-Trainer seminar, an Applying Green Energy Finance Programme and an Online Training. The main objective of the programme is to sustainably improve capacity for renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) financing options in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.

RENAC and IFC partner to green the banking sector in Latin America and the Caribbean

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group and the Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), an international training provider for green energy technologies, today signed a cooperation agreement to support green banking in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) at the Federation of Latin American Banks’ (FELABAN) Annual Assembly in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The main objective of the cooperation is to support the green transformation of banking in LAC towards a greener business model that mitigates challenges from climate change and that fosters green business opportunities.

La Corporación Financiera Internacional (IFC), miembro del Grupo del Banco Mundial y la Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), proveedor internacional de formación en tecnologías de energía verde, firmaron hoy un acuerdo de cooperación para apoyar la banca verde en América Latina y el Caribe (LAC) en la Asamblea Anual de la Federación Latinoamericana de Bancos (FELABAN) en Punta Cana, República Dominicana. El objetivo principal de la cooperación es apoyar la transformación de la banca en LAC hacia un modelo de negocio más verde que mitigue los desafíos del cambio climático y fomente las oportunidades de negocio verde.

The Renewables Academy AG (RENAC)’s project Green Banking - Capacity Building on Green Energy and Climate Finance has been awarded the Innovationspreis für Klima und Umwelt (IKU) by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI). The IKU Award honors innovative ideas that protect the climate and the environment while making important contributions to improve the living conditions in different areas.
