Brief description

Germany’s long history as a pioneer in the field of renewable energies enables it to provide invaluable assistance to its international partners in expanding the use of these energies. The Energiewende in Germany is being followed with great interest worldwide as a model for how to reconcile industry, prosperity and climate protection. The Federal Foreign Office is actively promoting this trademark, making use of it to communicate a modern image of Germany – both in its trade promotion abroad and for scientific cooperation. In the form of its diplomatic missions abroad, the Federal Foreign Office is the direct contact partner on the ground in host countries, actively promoting the development of renewable energy and an improvement in energy efficiency.
