Brief description

The German Geothermal Association (BVG) was established in 1991 as an amalgamation of companies and individual persons from research and application. It currently has approx. 700 members from the fields of industry, science, planning and the energy supply sector. The principal tasks of the association consist of informing the public on the potential uses of geothermal energy for producing heat and electricity, as well as conducting dialogue with political decision-makers. The GtV organises the German Geothermal Congress (DGK) and also publishes the "Geothermal Energy" professional magazine.
