Brief description

The German Economic Institute (IW) is a registered association with a membership consisting of German businesses and employers‘ associations as well as of individual companies. The IW has set itself the task of creating and imparting economic knowledge and thus prompting change. Its studies, projects and policy recommendations identify the risks and opportunities for economy and society. The research is based on empirical principles and sound scientific methodology.
