Brief description

The German Association of Local Utilities (VKU) is the lobby group representing municipal utility and disposal services in Germany. Its around 1,500 member companies are active in energy supply, water and waste water management as well as waste management / city cleaning. With over 260,000 employees, the members of the VKU achieved a turnover of nearly 114 billion euros in 2016, while at the same time investing around 10 billion euros. The VKU supports its members with a wide range of services, bundles their interests and actively participates in political consensus-building processes.
