The World Energy Council (WEC) is the main impartial energy network promoting an affordable, stable and environmentally sustainable energy system. As the national member committee for Germany, WEC – Germany (Weltenergierat) is dedicated to raising awareness for global aspects in the German national energy debate. As the voice of the German energy sector, it intensively contributes to the global WEC‘s work. On top of acting as a global energy information hub, WEC – Germany conducts its own studies, exploring the benefits of internationally coordinated energy markets and politics.
