Live-cycle and value chain of PV projects

This virtual class offers an introduction to the life cycle of photovoltaic (PV) projects, helping participants understand how technical, financial and organizational elements come together in practice. Participants will learn to navigate the full PV value chain, identify key actors and their responsibilities, and recognize the complexity of each project phase. The course also introduces common management and financing structures used in PV projects and explains how risks are distributed and linked to CAPEX. By the end of the class, participants will have a comprehensive overview to better understand and assess PV projects.

The class is designed to be interactive, with participants expected to engage by asking questions, responding to prompts from the speaker, and participating in live polls. Where possible, cameras should be on to enhance interaction, while microphones should remain off unless speaking.

The session is delivered synchronously online, with later access to the recording and slides shared during the class. A digital certificate of participation will be issued within 48 hours after the class and sent by email.

If a cancellation is needed, only allowed until 1 week in advance.

Level: beginner/early career
