Green Banking Delegation Tour

The Green Banking Delegation Tour to Germany offers participants from all partner countries the opportunity to exchange experiences with German financing experts, visit best practice renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, and initiate new business contacts via B2B meetings. Furthermore, the Delegation Tour will comprise short workshops and trainings at RENAC's premises in Berlin, Germany.
Throughout the lifetime of the Green Banking project, three Delegation Tours will be realized. The first delegation tour will take place in September 2025 with a focus on Kenya and South Africa. Following this, the second tour will be organized in 2026 for participants from Indonesia and Vietnam. The series will then conclude in 2027 for participants from Brazil and Colombia.
Up to 8 scholarships will be allocated for each country. Consequently, a total of 48 participants will have the opportunity to take part in a Delegation Tour to Germany. The Delegation Tour will take place in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Who can apply
The Delegation Tour is dedicated to senior-level representatives from financial institutions and project development companies, especially those responsible for business development or green finance portfolios with an interest in developing their business in Green Energy Finance.
Objectives
The Delegation Tour to Germany offers a unique opportunity for representatives of the management or business development unit of financial institutions and project developers to gain practical insights into Germany´s green energy and finance sector. Over five days, participants will engage with key actors in the German financial and renewable energy landscape, deepen their understanding of sustainable finance, and forge valuable business partnerships.
What does the Delegation Tour entail?
The Delegation Tour will take place in Frankfurt and Berlin including the following activities:
- First-hand insights into Germany’s energy transition, including challenges, innovations, and lessons learned
- Workshops and trainings at RENAC’s headquarters in Berlin
- Meetings with leading banks active in Germany and internationally in green energy finance, gaining insight into their strategies, experiences, and successful case studies
- B2B meetings to build new business contacts and engage in international networking with German finance experts

Costs
The Delegation Tour is co-financed by RENAC (50%).
Location
The main location for the seminar will be in RENAC's Training Centre in the city of Berlin, Germany. Besides Berlin, the group will also visit the financial capital of Germany Frankfurt am Main. For more information about Berlin and Frankfurt please visit the following websites:
How to apply
- The application phases will be announced via Green Banking newsletters and mailings. Click here to subscribe.
- Participants have to apply for VISA to Germany themselves. RENAC will send an invitation letter as a pdf via email to selected and confirmed participants in due time before the seminar starts.
- Participants have to organise and book the travel to/from Berlin/Frankfurt and the hotel in Berlin as well as other travel arrangements themselves. RENAC will provide information about hotels situated near the Renewables Academy AG in Berlin and in Frankfurt.
