Finance training courses of the Renewables Academy (RENAC) now also available in modules
Berlin, Germany, 24 March, 2021
The demand for highly qualified experts in the assessment and financing of renewable energy projects is growing rapidly worldwide. In order to offer suitable training for the different needs, the Berlin Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG has developed a course module system. From beginners' courses to academic study programmes, participants can book the right module to suit their individual needs and knowledge. The content of the system is structured and built in such a way that participants can continuously expand their knowledge and degrees by crediting the previous course if they are interested.
"We have seen a strong increase in demand for RENAC's financial training courses in recent years," says RENAC-CEO Berthold Breid. "The special feature of our training offers is the practical training of the RENAC lecturers, who can pass on their industry experience directly. Many participants therefore plan to delve deeper into the subject after completing a course. A modular system that builds on this was only logical." The portfolio of international finance training courses has been continuously developed in recent years.
The core of RENAC’s finance training offers is the comprehensive, interactive blended learning programme 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' for financiers and project developers. In order to gain a comprehensive overview of the right assessment criteria at an early stage, it is important for both target groups to know technology-specific risks and risk avoidance strategies. The challenging course will start on 1st April for the fifth time. It consists of a 20-week online training course with eight different focal points and a subsequent 5-day interactive live seminar in September from Berlin. The 'Green Energy Finance Specialist (GEFS)' programme is accredited by the Financial Accreditation Agency (FAA).
All participants who successfully complete the 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' training programme will also have the opportunity to have about one third of it credited towards a specific Master's programme at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin (HWR). The Berlin Professional School of the HWR Berlin will offer the part-time online programme "Master Business Management - Green Energy and Climate Finance" starting October 2021. It is the first distance learning programme worldwide with a recognised Master of Science in Business Management (MSc.) degree with a focus on green energy and climate finance.
The study programme qualifies students for management positions in international companies and organisations. Both the ‚Green Energy Finance Specialist‘ programme and the master study programme are held in English. With the completion of the MSc, a certificate as 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' is acquired in addition to the Master's degree.
The Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), based in Berlin, is one of the world's leading training academies for capacity building in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency. Since its foundation in 2008, more than 21,000 participants from over 160 countries have taken part in the various training programmes.
