RENAC Introduces New Online Training Programme: Green Hydrogen and Renewable Power-to-X (PtX) Professional

Berlin, Germany, 15 March, 2022

In spring 2022, the Renewables Academy (RENAC) launches the new six-month online training programme, Green Hydrogen and Renewable Power-to-X (PtX) Professional. It includes 10 courses that cover the most important technical and economic aspects of green hydrogen and PtX. A unique calculation tool for green hydrogen generation cost is also part of this new training programme. Green Hydrogen and Renewable Power-to-X (PtX) Professional is one of 16 innovative and foundational programmes of RENAC's Online Academy that are starting April 1st.

“Green hydrogen and its use in PtX applications will be a game changer for the decarbonisation of power supplies, heating and cooling, key industries, and transportation,” says RENAC CEO, Berthold Breid. Adding that, “The demand for well-trained professionals in this field is growing rapidly and this new high-quality programme is the best way for professional development on green hydrogen, power-to-X, and the connecting technologies.”

Participants will learn about energy storage and artificial intelligence in the energy sector as well as about which set of parameters are used to assess the bankability of energy projects. The programme also examines a banker’s perspective of risks, key PtX terminology, the current economic context, and recent PtX developments. Participants complete the programme with an exam.

RENAC's Online Academy offerings are designed to support and enhance the professional development of individuals as well as companies and organisations. The e-learning programmes are offered in English and cover the full range of topics in the renewables sector, including solar power, wind energy, biogas, grid integration of renewables, and finance. These dynamic programmes offer participants engaging ways to learn course content, such as informative texts, illustrative graphics, self-test questions to assess progress, and practice-based examples.

The Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG is one of the leading international providers of training and educational programming and capacity building services on renewable energy and energy efficiency. Since 2008, more than 25,000 participants from over 160 countries have taken part in RENAC training courses and programmes.
